Texture-Based Analysis of Fetal Organs in Fetal Growth Restriction

چکیده

Fetal growth restriction (FGR) is common, affecting around 10% of all pregnancies. Growth restricted fetuses fail to achieve their genetically predetermined size and often weigh <10th centile for gestation. However, even appropriately grown can be affected, with the diagnosis FGR missed before birth. Babies have a higher rate stillbirth, neonatal morbidity such as breathing problems, neurodevelopmental delay. usually due placental insufficiency leading poor perfusion fetal hypoxia. MRI increasingly used image fetus placenta. Here we explore use novel multi-compartment Intravoxel Incoherent Motion Model (IVIM)-based models analysis, improve understanding quantify abnormalities biomarkers in organs. In 12 normally gestational-age matched pregnancies (Median 28\(^{+4}\)wks±3\(^{+3}\)wks) acquired T\(_{2}\) relaxometry diffusion datasets. Decreased perfusion, pseudo-diffusion coefficient, blood values placenta liver were significant features distinguishing between normal controls (p-value <0.05). This may related preferential shunting away from brain that occurs insufficiency. These predict gestational age at delivery using simple machine learning models. Texture analysis was explored compare Haralick control fetuses, yielding most differences groups. project provides insights into effect on organs emphasizing impact placenta, potential an automated approach by leveraging

sildenafil citrate in fetal growth restriction

background: pregnancies with early onset fetal growth restriction have poor perinatal outcome. sildenafil citrate (pde -5 inhibitor) as a vasodilator increases uteroplacental blood flow and potentiates fetal growth. case presentation: in this study, a case was examined and sildenafil was administered for her. it was found that sildenafil improved the uterine blood flow with a favorable fetal ou...

Neurodevelopment after fetal growth restriction.

Fetal growth restriction (FGR) can emerge as a complication of placental dysfunction and increases the risk for neurodevelopmental delay. Marked elevations of umbilical artery (UA) Doppler resistance that set the stage for cardiovascular and biophysical deterioration with subsequent preterm birth characterize early-onset FGR. Minimal, or absent UA Doppler abnormalities and isolated cerebral Dop...

Early onset fetal growth restriction

Fetal growth restriction (FGR) diagnosed before 32 weeks is identified by fetal smallness associated with Doppler abnormalities and is associated with significant perinatal morbidity and mortality and maternal complications. Recent studies have provided new insights into pathophysiology, management options and postnatal outcomes of FGR. In this paper we review the available evidence regarding d...

Transgenerational effects of fetal growth restriction

Methods A cross-sectional study examining parents-first-born offspring pairs. First, 200 FGR neonates (defined as birthweight < 10th according to local standards) and 200 normally grown (AGA, birthweight 10th-90th centile) were identified from delivery books from 1975-1993. Current contact data was retrieved from the database of the Catalan health system. Perinatal data from an eventual first-b...
